I've seen a lot of varied track listings for these sessions. The reason for this, I believe, is because a lot of mixing and matching of riffs are occuring. Depending on what the ear catches, one may hear That's the Way or the Rain Song in one spot and another song altogether within the same take. I've labeled them by what stood out to me (if anything. Note all the "Instrumental" takes. You may hear something there that I did not). This is the best version of the outtakes you'll find. I recieved them along with the Mobile/Ft. Worth/Buffalo/Chicago '73 tapes. In the initial correspondence with the the person who originally held the tapes he states "The tapes are only one generation off the master". However, because the III and IV rehearsals as well as NY7-27-73 were already circulating I call this claim into question, suspecting they are actually a generation further down the line. If I am wrong, then great. Everyones generation actually is set back one. But, this is why I have labeled the above '73 boards (and this tape) 3rd gen.
